Requirement Overview

Mr. Pretzel's® currently offers franchising opportunities for individuals and companies that adopt the strategy of multi-unit territory development.

This business model enables our partners to build the brand in their territory as well as leverage marketing and purchasing capacity. We require 100% of the first-year development to be funded through allotted capital and, at a minimum, 30% of the next four years (development schedule is 5 years) to be accessible dedicated capital.

We seek qualified franchise partners interested in multi-unit development in exclusive territories around the world.


Qualifications $250,000 USD Net Worth

$100,000 USD Liquid Assets

Solid business experience

Proven expertise in retail (food and beverage a plus)

Previous franchise experience advantageous

Fees

Franchise Fee:
$20,000


Royalties 6% of Gross Sales
Local Marketing 3.5% of Gross Sales (this is a recommended percentage to be used as a guideline by the franchisee)

U.S. Application Process

Step 1: Online Pre-Qualifier

The first step to purchasing your own Mr. Pretzel's® franchise is to complete the Mr. Pretzel's® Request for Consideration Form (RFC). This will provide us with the necessary information to evaluate your background and your capabilities to operate a Mr. Pretzel's® kiosk.


Step 2: Business Plan

Should we move forward with your request, you will be required to submit a brief business plan for development. This should include market research on the territory and a detailed development proposal. You will work closely with the Mr. Pretzel's® Operations Consultant and the Area Development Manager in creating your proposal.

The Franchise Sales Executive for your area will collect your application and put together the complete review package for Mr. Pretzel's® Franchise Committee. Mr. Pretzel's® Franchise Committee will contact you once your Request for Consideration has been reviewed.


Step 3: Franchise Due Diligence

If, during the first face-to-face meeting or telephone conference with one of our sales directors, you are interested in continuing the process towards owning a Mr. Pretzel's® Franchise, you will be provided with our Franchise Disclosure Document, commonly referred to as the FDD. This is the time you should be conducting your due diligence on the Mr. Pretzel's® brand.


Step 4: Letter of Intent

After careful consideration and mutual due diligence, if there is continued interest on both sides in considering moving forward, Mr. Pretzel's® will submit a Letter of Intent to you which includes the fees as well as basic terms and conditions of the relationship. If approved, you will be invited to meet the executives of Mr. Pretzel's®, tour a store, and ultimately enter into a Development Agreement and remit the initial deposit.


Step 5: Signing the Franchise Agreement & Paying the Franchise Fee


If Mr. Pretzel's® Franchise Committee approves your application, you will be sent the Franchise and Development Agreements that you will be required to sign. Once we receive the signed agreements and all necessary documentation in our Atlanta office with the Franchise and Development Fees, we will countersign your agreements and return a countersigned copy to you.


Step 6: Welcome to the Mr. Pretzel's®
Family!

Once we have countersigned your Development Agreement and paid your fees, you are now officially a Mr. Pretzel's® franchisee and our franchise services team will begin working directly with you to open your store as quickly and efficiently as possible.

  • Extensive Store Training Programs that include a Mr. Pretzel's® overview, store opening procedures, service training, and training for all levels of staff. We currently have full training centers located in Puerto Rico and London.
  • Comprehensive Training Manual that covers all management and staff procedures – from opening to closing—plus information on financial reporting, accounting, inventory, and human resource management.
  • A typical training lasts 15 days.

  • Marketing strategy and guidance for successful implementation.
  • Access to proven marketing and promotional materials, including point-of-purchase displays, merchandising displays, and any new materials we may create.
  • Assistance with grand opening support, successful new product rollouts and other sales-building initiatives.
